John Mead Rhodes 1943-2025

On Wednesday December 31, 2025, God took John Rhodes from the problems of this world at the age 82.
John’s unconditional love and caring spirit for everyone will reside in the hearts and minds of everyone he knew and he leaves to mourn him. His loving and devoted wife of 57 beautiful and wonderful years Virginia Mims Rhodes. Three sons Donald Rhodes (Francis) of Dallas, Texas; Kyle Rhodes of Spring Valley, California, Christopher Rhodes(Melissa) of Pueblo, Colorado; and loving sister Ashley Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona; Brother Arthur Rhodes of El Paso, Texas; sister Minnie Ray of San Antonio, Texas; and brother-in-law BJ Morrison of Lubbock, Texas.
After retirement from the U.S. Navy and D.O.D for 24 years each, John bought his own truck and became a long-haul trucker. He hauled the Rock Group KISS’ band equipment to Florida and other places. He and Virginia owned and operated Custom Cake and Catering Service.
John is survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A very, very special love for Debra Rhodes, Marie Williams, and Jonathan Wesley.
The family of John Mead Rhodes loves each and every one of you. The calls, cards, flowers, prayers and visits was great during Bereavement. May God Bless each of you.
