Pecan Gap News
Well for the last several weeks I have struggled to have news from the Pecan Gap area, but that is certainly not the case for this week! Last Thursday and Friday, January 20-21, 2022, Fannindel Elementary sent 5 girls to attend the Jr. High/Middle School and Elementary State Beta Club Convention at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. I am thrilled to report that our 5 students brought home two different State Awards. Emely Bugarin placed 2nd in the Recycled Art Category with her Owl made of plastic forks, spoons, and other recycled items. It is so awesome, great work Emely! The Little Falcon Beta Team consisting of Tynslie Braley, Miranda Belinowski, Mary Alice Norwood, and Michaela Kitchens won 1st Place in the Elementary Engineering Category by creating a Zip Line, that is so cool! These students’ teacher Ms. Rhonda Moody, was quoted in a post on the Fannindel Elementary Facebook Page on Friday, that she was thrilled to share, “I am so proud of our Elementary Beta girls!! They are representing Fannindel Fabulously at the State Convention!!” This June, these talented students, their teacher, and some of their parents will travel to Nashville, TN. to represent FES at the Summer National Beta Convention! As for me, the FISD, and the community, we could not be more proud of you! Thanks for helping put the tiny Fannindel Footprint on the big State of Texas Beta Map! Remember, “You are Smart, You are Strong, You can do Anything! Gooo Falcons!!!”
