City to Sell Terrell Sports Complex Property: Bids Now Open

NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR SEALED BID

35.347 ACRES (GERALDINE TERRELL SPORTS COMPLEX)

Adjacent to FM 38, CR25300 AND CR25200

Sealed Bid opening will occur publicly at the date, time and place as follows:

Date/Time: Bids must be received at the City of Roxton, City Hall 105 N. Pecan St. Roxton, Texas, no later than 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020

Submittal Process: All bid submittals must be on the City of Roxton Bid Form which is available in the Project Packet available at Roxton City Hall. The bid submittal form should be placed in a sealed envelope and mailed to City of Roxton, P.O. Box 136, Roxton 75477 or hand-delivered. Sealed envelope should have Bid for Terrell Sports Complex prominently displayed on outside.

Terms: All cash; The property is offered for sale “As-is/Where-is.” Purchase price is due upon closing. The high bidder must be prepared to close within 30 days following notification of the city’s bid acceptance.
Inspection: Property may be inspected at any time. Please refer all questions to Janet Wheeler at 903 346 3535. The city will not conduct or fund the following services: (1) land survey and (2) appraisal. If purchaser desires these services, they are to be acquired at the purchaser’s expense

Bid Price: City of Roxton seeks to obtain fair market value for the property and reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Closing costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. The city will accept the highest bid received that meets its undisclosed minimum reserve.

Bids will be opened at City Council meeting on Monday night, September 21, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at Community Center.
