Carrots, Broccoli, and Ranch Dressing Too.

The Feed the Kids Program in Roxton will continue through September 3. As part of the Chisum ISD program, any child in Roxton from 0 to 18 is eligible for the program. Each day from 10:30 to 12:00 meals may be picked up at the Roxton Community Center.
Meals consist of lunch, breakfast for the following day, milk and juice. The meals are yummy, varied, and packed with nutrition. Each day has a different entree for lunch, many hot options such as mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. One weekly favorite is orange chicken. The lunch meals are rounded out with fresh vegetables and dipping sauce. Cereal, applesauce, fruit, and muffins are what's for breakfast.

This service is a coordinated effort with Chisum ISD and a group of Roxton ladies, the Lunch Bunch. Helping with the summer program are Rhonda Bunt, Shirley Cooper, Martha Duke, Pam McKnight, Jodi Mottwiler, Sabrina Rosson, Linda Rutherford, and Janet Wheeler. The city extends a big thank you to these ladies for making sure all kids have good nutritious food this summer.
