The Fannindel 5th Grade attended WEIRD SCIENCE DAY at Northeast Texas Children’s Museum, which is sponsored by Farmers Electric Coop last week! The students had a fun, hands-on experience with 3 labs set up! Their teacher, Ms. Rhonda Moody said, “This is perfect practice before their upcoming STAAR Test!” The students and teacher are thankful for the opportunity to attend! See photo on next page.

Nelda Campbell honored her grandson, Billy Merritt, with a belated 18th Birthday dinner at the Fish Fry in Paris Friday night. Billy’s girlfriend Jacie Smith, from Detroit, Ms. Billie, (Memaw) and Bobby, (Pepaw) McCarrell were also in attendance. Billy will graduate from Rivercrest High School April 28 and plans on continuing his education in Apprentice Construction Management. Billy has also been accepted by Oklahoma State University, but he has other options. Grandma Nelda Campbell is really proud of her grandson!!

Sam and Mary Alice Stephens are excited to welcome home their son, Nealon Sam Stephens and his wife, Debbie. They had not seen their son in more than twenty years.
Jerry Park had cataract surgery on Monday, March 29, he is scheduled to have cataract surgery on his other eye on April 19.
Marjanne Dobbs helped the Hoskison family and children celebrate Grandpa Randy’s birthday Saturday! Cole grilled excellent steaks and Holly fixed delicious sides. Carrot cake and ice cream was enjoyed by the grandkids Justus, Eva, Ada, Tripp and Brigg.
Fannindel FFA’s Livestock Show Team continued their very successful 2020-21 show season March 25-28, at the Austin Rodeo and Livestock, in Austin Texas.
The Falcon show team had eight heifer entries at the 2021 Austin Livestock show and placed 6 of those entrees in the top 3 of their classes. This included Jawaylon Shaw winning first place and reserve division in the American Registered Breeds category with a heifer he has breed and raised while in Fannindel program. The Fannindel FFA Show team travels to San Antonio, April 6-8, to compete at the rescheduled San Antonio, Livestock show.
