Crossroads

Introducing Lucas Crossland. You met Lucas in one of our recent issues when he was helping his friend and neighbor, Donna Boykin, with some trees on her roof. After hearing a little more about Lucas, we decided he needed to join our team and invited him to submit pictures and/or stories whenever he wanted. I go over to my great grandfather’s house in Bogata and help him outside, cutting wood,and tending to his chickens. We play 42, a domino game while he tells stories. The following is a story he shared with me.

“Cuthand was 5 miles from our house when I was a kid. My cousin and I worked and earned a nickel each. We rode our stick horses to the Cuthand store for a coke. While we were in the store drinking our cokes, someone stole our stick horses and we had to walk all the way home!”
