The Fannindel FFA Livestock Show Team has been doing great things this fall and winter. Here are the January results for the Fannindel FFA: The Cattleman’s Congress in Oklahoma City was the replacement show for Denver’s National Western. With total entries of over 9,600 head of cattle, it was one of the largest cattle shows held in North America. Lyndsey Franklin placed 2nd in both of her Charolais classes with tough National level competition. Fannindel’s heifer show team made the trip west to Fort Worth’s Cow Girls in Cowtown heifer show and competed admirably. Jawaylon Shaw won 3rd place in his class with his Polled Hereford and 6th in his Class with his Brangus female. Kaylee and Branden Dillehay joined forces to place their Shorthorn heifer 1st in its Class. Abby Duplechan placed 3rd in a competitive Limousine female Class. Katie Summit’s Horned Hereford female placed 3rd in her Class. Katie Burnett placed 2nd with her Brahman female and 3rd Place with her Shorthorn female. Lyndsey Franklin placed 3rd in her class with her spring Charolais heifer calf, and won 1st in her class with her Fall heifer calf. Lyndsey went on to win the Charolais Sr. Calf Division Champion. The Fannindel show team will compete at the San Antonio Livestock Show beginning February 15th. Jawaylon Shaw will take his Hereford heifer to Jackson, Mississippi for the Dixie National Show on February 13th.
